Buses booked locally often prioritize local travelers in the front rows. This may be frustrating, but patience is key. Due to the elongated structure of the country, you will have to Pick up the car in Hanoi and return back in Ho Chi Minh. Considering the over price happening due to this, we chose to use public transport. Also, the rules to drive in Vietnam seems pretty strict and hence we weren’t sure if we could manage the permits.
